The FS31 is an all-in-one field sensor that measures soil moisture and soil temperature at multiple depths, as well as air temperature and air humidity. It transmits data wirelessly via NB-IoT, LTE-M and 2G fallback, with SIM included, and can be remotely configured through the Farm21 platform.
The sensor includes a multi-depth soil probe (0–10, 10–20 and 20–30 cm for moisture, and –10 and –20 cm for temperature) and uses highly accurate soil-specific calibration curves.
FS31 requires the Farm21 precision farming platform to operate. The annual license is €89 per sensor, including connectivity, platform access, satellite imagery, scouting tools and weather data.
Description
The FS31 Field Sensor is a compact and affordable in-field micro-weather station designed for growers, crop advisors, and researchers who want reliable, real-time insight into soil and climate conditions. It combines a powerful sending module with a multi-depth soil probe to deliver high-quality data directly into the Farm21 precision farming platform.
The FS31 consists of two main parts:
FS31 Sending Module
The sending module is responsible for wireless data transmission and system control.

- Air temperature measurement at 10 cm above soil level
- Air humidity measurement at 10 cm above soil level

- Modular connector to support future extensions (such as solar charging or additional measurement modules)
- Remote configuration of measurement and data sending intervals through the Farm21 dashboard

- Capacitive soil moisture sensing at:
- 0–10 cm
- 10–20 cm

The FS31 requires the Farm21 precision farming platform to operate.
